Your gut is quite literally your second brain, with the ability to significantly influence your mind, mood and behavior. Again and again, researchers find that depression and a wide variety of behavioral problems appear to stem from nutritional deficiencies and/or an imbalance of bacteria in your gut.
At this point, there’s simply no denying the powerful influence of the gut on both your physical and mental health. This is great news, since this places you in a distinct position of power over your and your children’s psychological health.
A recent article by the Weston A. Price Foundation,1 titled: "Violent Behavior: A Solution in Plain Sight", highlighted the impact of nutrition on brain health and behavior, reviewing the importance of a number of dietary factors, such as:
•Fat-soluble vitamins, such as vitamins A, D3 and K2 •Water-soluble vitamins like B1, B6 and B12 •Minerals such as iodine, potassium, iron, magnesium, zinc, chromium, manganese •Specific brain nutrients like choline, ARA and DHA The article is quite extensive and well worth reading in its entirety as it covers the nutrition-behavior connection from several different angles. In short, however, the evidence is overwhelmingly clear that our current problems with violence and other behavioral problems are rooted in our diet...
As stated by Sylvia Onusic, PhD, CNS, LDN in her article:
“[T]he fact is that a large number of Americans, living mostly on devitalized processed food, are suffering from malnutrition. In many cases, this means their brains are starving...
Making things worse are excitotoxins so prevalent in the food supply, such as MSG and aspartame. People who live on processed food and who drink diet sodas are exposed to these mind-altering chemicals at very high levels.
... Modern commentators are blind to the solution, a solution that is in plain sight: clearly defining good nutrition and putting it back into the mouths of our children, starting before they are even conceived... because food is information and that information directly affects your emotions, nervous system, brain and behavior.”
How Chronic Niacin Deficiency Can Cause Violent Behavior Few people realize just how potent a factor nutritional deficiencies can be when it comes to behavioral difficulties and violence. Last year, I interviewed Dr. Andrew W. Saul on the topic of niacin and psychiatric health.
He has over 35 years of experience in natural health education and is currently serving as editor-in-chief of the Orthomolecular Medicine News Service. He's authored over 175 publications and 11 books, and has been named as one of the seven health pioneers by Psychology Today. He's also featured in the movie Food Matters, which I'm sure many of you have seen.
Dr. Saul is co-author of the excellent book, Niacin: The Real Story, along with one of the leading niacin researchers in the world, Dr. Abram Hoffer. Niacin, Dr. Hoffer found, may in fact be a "secret" treatment for psychological disorders, including schizophrenia, which can be notoriously difficult to address.
He performed the first double-blind, placebo-controlled nutrition studies in the history of psychiatry in the mid-1950s. Giving patients extremely high doses of niacin—as much as 3,000 mg per day—his cure rate for schizophrenia was 80 percent! At that point, the American Psychiatric Association blacklisted him, which may in part be why you’ve probably never heard of him, or his invaluable research...
A key point Dr. Saul brings up in the full interview is that certain people have what Dr. Hoffer referred to as niacin dependency, meaning they need more niacin on a regular basis. Essentially, they're beyond deficient—they're dependent on high-doses of niacin in order to remain well.
This particularly appears to be the case with mental disorders. Other researchers have since confirmed Dr. Hoffer's findings, and found that niacin can also be successfully used in the treatment of other mental disorders, such as:
Attention deficit disorder Anxiety Obsessive-compulsive disorder General psychosis Depression Bipolar disorder.

Deep Cause Treatment

✣ Larry Dossey arTist; Skafia You know that saying " just listening is helping" well yeh but thats treating effect and the root deep cause of the replaying the nervous system trauma is not delt with. "honey i had a bad day" so i want u to help me " (by listening), me- yes i heard u so i have listened but still u repeat so hence as i said above the cause is still rampant. so you would mediate after a bad day for instance or toke a joint to LET GO of those nervous system replays. example case study of treating cause not effect ~ benjamin couwenberg How to Cleanse the Lymph SystemThe lymph system consists of lymph
nodes, lymph vessels, and organs. The primary jobs of the lymphatic system are to isolate and fight infections, and to absorb excess fluid, fat and debris from our bodies. As these materials build up in the lymph system, it may become congested or blocked. Because the lymph system cleanses our entire body, symptoms of a blocked system can manifest in many ways from frequent cold and infections to joint pain. Follow healthy nutritional and lifestyle guidelines to cleanse and rejuvenate your lymph system. Clean up your diet to cleanse your lymphatic system A healthy diet produces less waste for your lymph system to clean up, reducing your chances of congestion. •Avoid processed foods that are high in salt, sugar and preservatives. •Replace simple sugars and carbohydrates with whole grains, complex carbohydrates and fruit. •Identify any food allergies you may have and avoid eating those foods. Drink 6 to 8 glasses of filtered or purified water daily Your body needs to be well hydrated to keep your lymph system operating properly. Practice deep breathing from your diaphragm and through your nose to keep your lymph fluids moving. Learn proper breathing techniques to get the proper amount of oxygen throughout your body. Get regular physical exercise Jumping up and down (lol go surfing!) on a trampoline or playing jump rope for 5 minutes a day is great for your lymph system. Other moderate exercise, such as walking and stretching, is also helpful if done regularly. Relax in a sauna or steam bath and let your body sweat out toxins to cleanse your system Wear clothing that fits properly Tight clothing restricts your lymph system and contributes to blockage. For the same reason, women should avoid under-wire bras and try to wear no bra for at least 12 hours each day. Deal with stress, depression and other emotional issues Just like a congested lymph system can lead to emotional problems, so can the reverse occur. Sometimes when we are stuck in stress or other emotional issues, these feelings manifest in physical problems. (ED-physorg.com showed an article with prelimenary research indicating this) Consider alternative therapies •Acupuncture has been found to do wonders for keeping our lymph system flowing. •Regular treatment from a massage therapist who is familiar with lymph drainage massage is a great way to keep your entire body healthy and your lymph system running smoothly. Do a detox and colon cleanse treatment following manufacturer instructions •Choose one that is supported by liver enzymes to ease the burden on your liver and kidneys, and to decrease the pressure they place on your spleen. •If you are under a doctor's care for any medical conditions, you should check with her before doing a detox an cleanse. Do you know???? •The appearance of cellulite is often a sign of a congested lymph system. Massage the areas of your body where the cellulite exists, as well as the lymph nodes in your groin to help improve the condition. •Self massage can also be beneficial to cleanse your lymph system, especially if done around your abdomen and breasts. Here's Some Apple Cider Vinegar Cleanse(s) 1 cup water 1-2 caps full of ACV (I make my ACV with 32 ounces of water)8 ounces equals 1 cup You can mix honey with it for taste Here's another ACV technique In the blender put: 1 cup apple cider vinegar (organic unfiltered) 1 cup raw honey (local is best) 8 cloves of garlic Mix it for 1 minute on high speed. Put it in a glass container and keep it in the refrigerator for five days. Now, take 2 teaspoons every morning before breakfast - be sure to mix it in water or juice. Diluting it makes it very easy to take. The other recipe is: •Chop a small onion and a few cloves of garlic. Put them in a jar and fill the jar with honey. Let it sit for a couple of weeks. You can use this honey which becomes kind of thin and syrupy just to eat as is, with or without straining. •Or add 2/3 cup of raw apple cider vinegar to 1/3 cup of the honey mixture that has been strained. Dilute 1 Tablespoon of the mixture in juice or water and drink it every morning. Get Informed! Get Healthy! Stay Healthy! "The researchers say it acts as a safe house for good bacteria, which can be used to effectively reboot the gut following a bout of dysentery or cholera." lol and people got it cut out i bet some atleast, cuz of its "unsightlyness" , just because u dont understand it dont kill it. not too dis similar concept to what i say to u about using ganozhi toothpaste (reishi mushroom, yes u should brush with botanical neutricueticals of course) only and no peroxide which is a fascimile face value clean. effect treatment not cause. The peroxide kills all the good bacteria in your mouth so your culture is weak, and may aswell stop using ganozhi. SO? Dont cross the the synthetic/surface/effect treat road, as least as possible, you are an organic being so seek organic solutions. |

artist; Love http://www.undergroundhealth.com/non-prescrition-alternative-pain-treatments/ Prescription drugs are deadly. Not only that, they are they highly addictive. Synthetic drugs are made of chemical compounds that cause countless harmful side-effects and only mask the symptoms and rarely address the underlying problem. Anyone who follows Underground Health knows we are Anti-Pharmaceuticals and strongly oppose drug companies and their profit mongering, charlatan mentality. Anything that’s motivated by profit with little to no regard for the end users health and safety doesn’t sit well with us. Deaths from prescription drug overdoses have been called the “silent epidemic” for years. With one American dying every 19 minutes from an accidental prescription drug overdose, it’s being described as “the biggest man-made epidemic in the United States.” Make Drugs the Last Resort for Your Pain Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT): This is a drug-free approach for pain management of all kinds. EFT borrows from the principles of acupuncture, in that it helps you balance out your subtle energy system. It helps resolve underlying, often subconscious, negative emotions that may be exacerbating your physical pain. By stimulating (tapping) well-established acupuncture points with your fingertips, you re-balance your energy system, which tends to dissipate pain. Astaxanthin: One of the most effective fat-soluble antioxidants known. It has very potent anti-inflammatory properties and in many cases works far more effectively than many anti-inflammatory drugs. Higher doses are typically required and one may need 8 mg or more per day to achieve this benefit. Ginger: This herb has potent anti-inflammatory activity and offers pain relief and stomach-settling properties. Fresh ginger works well steeped in boiling water as a tea or grated into vegetable juice. Curcumin: In a study of osteoarthritis patients, those who added 200 mg of curcumin a day to their treatment plan had reduced pain and increased mobility A past study also found that a turmeric extract composed of curcuminoids blocked inflammatory pathways, effectively preventing the launch of a protein that triggers swelling and pain Boswellia: Also known as boswellin or “Indian frankincense,” this herb contains specific active anti-inflammatory ingredients. This is one of my personal favorites as I have seen it work well with many rheumatoid arthritis patients. Krill Oil: The omega-3 fats EPA and DHA contained in krill oil have been found by many animal and clinical studies to have anti-inflammatory properties. Bromelain: This enzyme, found in pineapples, is a natural anti-inflammatory. It can be taken in supplement form but eating fresh pineapple may also be helpful. Cetyl Myristoleate (CMO): This oil, found in fish and dairy butter, acts as a “joint lubricant” and an anti-inflammatory. I have used this for myself to relieve ganglion cysts and a mild annoying carpal tunnel syndrome that pops up when I type too much on non-ergonomic keyboards. I used a topical preparation for this. Evening Primrose, Black Currant and Borage Oils: These contain the essential fatty acid gamma linolenic acid (GLA), which is useful for treating arthritic pain. Cayenne Cream: Also called capsaicin cream, this spice comes from dried hot peppers. It alleviates pain by depleting the body’s supply of substance P, a chemical component of nerve cells that transmits pain signals to your brain. Methods such as yoga, acupuncture, meditation, hot and cold packs, and even holding hands can also result in astonishing pain relief without any drugs. Cellular treatment
TMS BREAKTHROUGH: NEW HOPE FOR TREATING SEVERE DEPRESSION WITH FEW SIDE EFFECTS(ED-ahh laugh my ass of at u idiot materialists.. always seeking outside like dumb shits..with ur effect treating)
"A new treatment for major depression — and possibly other maladies, including pain and post-traumatic stress disorder — seems as effective as the alternatives, with lower cost and fewer side effects. Psychiatrists say TMS is showing much promise in preliminary studies. Until four years ago, psychiatrists had only two options for treating major depression: drugs and electroconvulsive therapy (ETC), formerly known as electroshock. Antidepressant drugs can take as long as four to six weeks to kick in, and they have many side effects: cardiac toxicity, urinary retention, impotence, loss of libido, blurred vision, dry mouth, somnolence, overstimulation and assorted other complications that vary from drug to drug. Surprisingly, ECT, which passes an electric current through the brain, is considered to be safer than drugs for patients with many physical illnesses, but it also has a steep downside of its own: A course of ECT can wipe out crucial memories like Ajax scouring out a sink. Most psychiatry textbooks write that a first trial of an antidepressant is effective only 60 percent of the time. ECT is generally said to be effective 70 percent to 80 percent of the time. In 2008, the US Food and Drug Administration approved a new device for treating major depression: Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, or TMS. TMS has its roots in the research of Michael Faraday, the giant of 19th century physics. He could scarcely have dreamed that his law of induction would one day be used to treat mental illness. Faraday's Law is simple: It states that an oscillating magnetic coil — that is, a coil moving back and forth — generates an electric field. Now if a magnetic coil sets up an electric field inside the brain, the electric field will stimulate the neurons to release brain chemicals called neurotransmitters, of which the three most familiar are serotonin, dopamine, and noradrenaline (although there are dozens more under varying degrees of investigation). Serotonin is a sedating neurotransmitter; dopamine is energizing; noradrenaline resides somewhere in between. The increased availability of one or more of these neurotransmitters is believed to lift the depression. The instrument that was approved by the FDA is called "NeuroStar." It is manufactured by Neuronetics for "major depression that does not respond to a trial of an antidepressant drug." (ED_lol! and ! this is why u meditate a natural organic remedy to produce more of these neurotransmitter allstars :), with no side effects-treating cause) This is very generous labeling by the FDA, and in reality the labeling doesn't amount to much, because once a drug or medical device has been approved for marketing, it can be used by the physician for any indication he sees fit. Already NeuroStar is being used to treat chronic anxiety, bipolar depression (the depressive swing of manic-depressive illness) and chronic pain. I've also been told the military has bought several TMS instruments for treating post-traumatic stress disorder. As for "major depression," it is an entity that has paraded through the psychiatric literature under a variety of names, among them: "unipolar depression" (to signify that it is not the depressed phase of manic-depressive — bipolar — disorder), "and "endogenous depression (which is intended to signify that it is a biologically, and probably a genetically driven, disorder)." The condition is marked by mental symptoms such as low mood and morbid or outright suicidal thoughts, as well as physical symptoms like sleep disturbance, loss of appetite and anxiety." — Robert Wilbur Truthout: — http://goo.gl/1QC1q Science Daily: — http://goo.gl/3ET8q my Big Pharma album: — http://on.fb.me/k3UW6Y |
